Position Summary
Under the direction of plant supervision, the Plant Operator will safely run, monitor and maintain plant operations.

  • Start, monitor, and regulate as needed plant processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Properly maintain crushers, screens and conveyors

  • Adjust equipment programming to maximize production

  • Maintain daily production reports

  • Learn to safely operate plant equipment

  • Conduct plant inspections and complete required paperwork accurately

  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience in quarry work preferred but not required

Knowledge, SKills and Abilities

  • Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) effectively

  • Must be able to work weekends as required

  • Must be able to read and interpret guages/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection

  • Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day

  • Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces

  • Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment

  • Lift up to 75 lbs

  • Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain

  • Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
